Prospective Contributor

Thank you for your interest in becoming a NORTHWEST.COM Contributor.  We are looking for Contributors that have a passion for the Pacific Northwest and the urge to write about it!  Whether you are approved or not to become a Northwest.com Contributor, you will still automatically become a member of myNorthwest with its many benefits (e.g., free newsletter, upcoming forum and blogs).  To become a NORTHWEST.COM Contributor, you must read, and agree to, the following guidelines and conditions.

Subject Matter Guidelines

NORTHWEST.COM focuses on travel and recreation in the Pacific Northwest.  All stories, articles, and photos must be Pacific Northwest-travel related.  We define the Pacific Northwest as including Alaska, British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.  Subject matter of interest to our visitors includes cities & towns, attractions, culture & heritage, recreation & outdoor pursuits, parks & nature, events, lodging, dining, shopping, plus unique, unknown places anddestinations.

Contributor Conditions

  1. NORTHWEST.COM, INC., reserves the right to accept, reject, edit and revise any articles / stories (content) submitted.
  2. Contributor represents and warrants that all content is original work and does not impinge or violate the copyright, right of privacy, proprietary right, right of publicity, or any other right of a third party.
  3. The parties acknowledge and agree that NORTHWEST.COM, INC., shall own all rights, title, and interest, throughout the Universe, to the work submitted by the Contributor.
  4. Contributor grants NORTHWEST.COM, INC. an irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, non-exclusive license to publish / distribute, modify / revise, or reproduce / transmit / sublicense to another entity, the Contributor’s submitted materials. 
  5. All materials / photos must pertain to Pacific Northwest Travel, Tourism, and Recreation.
  6. Articles / stories submitted will be 250 – 1,000 words in length.  Limit of 4 photos (jpeg format) per story submitted.
  7. Prospective Contributors that fill out the Prospective Contributor Form acknowledge that NORTHWEST.COM will not pay them for any articles, stories, materials, or photos submitted.  Contributors benefit from exposure to a wide audience of fellow travelers.
  8. By submitting stories, articles, materials, or photos to NORTHWEST.COM, INC., a Contributor has agreed to comply with, and adhere to, NORTHWEST.COM, INC.’s  Subject Matter Guidelines and Contributor Conditions.
