Kurt's Discoveries

Come along with me as I chronicle my Northwest adventures and discoveries. I am a native Northwesterner and avid traveler with a strong passion for this region's magnificent scenery, rich heritage, and diverse culture. I am thrilled to be able to share the Northwest, and all it has to offer, with you.

My journal will not be the typical tourist guide or brochure. It will be an account of my travel experiences as I search for the Northwest's most beautiful places, one-of-a-kind attractions, and undiscovered gems. Look to find me supping at a remote family diner that serves the world's best dumplings or hiking on a switch-backed trail with views of the mighty Pacific. Read about the little hideaway I discovered that clung to the foot of a jagged peak or about the best nouveau jazz venue to be found anywhere in town. Even at tourist hot spots, I will uncover those little-known travel tidbits that will help you get the most out of your visit. My goal is to scratch beneath the surface to uncover some of the Northwest's Best Discoveries.
